My name is Lauren Fairweather and I'm a 23-year-old nerdy musician. I started out in wizard rock band The Moaning Myrtles and have since branched out to a full-time touring solo career. I write music about books, TV shows, my life, and then I document the experience on my youtube channel, devilishlypure. I'm married to Matt Maggiacomo, another wizard rocker and nerdy musician, and we live in Woonsocket, RI with our two cats, Sam and Frodo (who are not allowed in my craft room, much to their dismay).

I've been a crafter since I was a little kid, but only recently started designing my own crafts. My grandmother taught me to knit and crochet, and I've been teaching myself to sew. I had made videos on YouTube showing some of the things I had made out of books and a lot of people were asking me if they could buy the things I make.

Earlier this year, I started out stitching tiny little owl plushies of various colors and throwing them down on the merch table in case anyone wanted to buy them. They were quite literally flying off the shelves and I was so excited that people loved them so much! A few months of hard work passed, and I developed a full line of (larger) plushies of my own design to sell on Etsy! More will be coming soon as well.

I started this blog not only to document my craft-making, but also eventually to share tutorials, discuss craft-related things, and feature other crafters. Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you in the comments!
